Receive one $10 White Spot bonus Gift Certificate for January.
On Wednesday, August 15 thousands of guests of all ages from across B.C. and Alberta flocked to White Spot Restaurants to enjoy a Pirate Pak, helping the chain raise $50,470 for Zajac Ranch for Children.
White Spot donated $2 from each Kids and Adult Pirate Pak sold, plus contributions received in lieu of Pirate Paks, to Zajac Ranch - an established B.C. charity that gives children and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities a truly unforgettable camp experience.
Now in its fifth year, Pirate Pak Day has raised more than $202,470 and sent more than 100 kids to camp.
"The response from White Spot guests was just incredible. Each year we have celebrated a record-breaking donation, and this year was no different," says White Spot President Warren Erhart. "On Wednesday we sold 23,110 Pirate Paks to both the young and young at heart, allowing us to help even more kids enjoy the wonderful and enriching experiences that Zajac Ranch has to offer".
Guests from across B.C. and Alberta expressed their excitement for Pirate Pak Day on Twitter yesterday:
"White Spot has shown real loyalty to the children and young adults of Zajac Ranch over the years and this commitment has made a big difference in so many lives," said Mel Zajac, founder of the Zajac Ranch for Children. "Pirate Pak Day truly celebrates the magic of childhood - both for White Spot guests and for the children that are going to camp because of their generosity. We are so thankful to everyone who contributed."
White Spot will be sending kids to Zajac Ranch for "White Spot Week" from August 27 to 31, allowing them to participate in a variety of activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, water sports and arts and crafts.
