White Spot’s Christmas Day Luncheon raises over $17,000 for charities in Richmond and Vancouver

December 26, 2014 – Vancouver & Richmond, B.C. – In true holiday season spirit, a recording-breaking $17,624 was raised for two local charities by White Spot staff and management serving a Christmas Day luncheon at the Kingsway Vancouver and Richmond Centre restaurants.

All proceeds, staff time and tips from the yuletide event are being donated to charity, with funds raised by Richmond Centre ($11,088) benefiting the Richmond Hospital Foundation, and proceeds from Kingsway Vancouver ($6,536) supporting Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“The holiday season is a time for giving,” says Warren Erhart, White Spot president. “That’s why I’m so proud of our staff who donated their time on Christmas Day. It’s a gesture of goodwill that makes a real difference. Our Christmas event has become a White Spot tradition that gives back to the communities where we live and work.”

Since its inception, more than $175,000 has been generated by the yuletide luncheon.
